The Catch-all: ICYMI September 23-29

The news I've been consuming this week

I don’t believe I’ve ever had to say as many variations of the phrase “the whole Nazi thing” in such a short span in my entire life. The worst part is that people always know what I mean.

A short note: Since reports on COVID are sometimes not found in institutional news media, I’ve taken the liberty of attaching announcements by health bodies and posts by universities on the subject. In addition, in one article about Long Covid, the headline is very misleading, so I attached a quote that explains the reason I added it. This may need to be done in the future, as the right-wing disinformation around the disease appears to be ramping up in an attempt to minimize its effects. While it’s important to have a sober analysis (which is why I included this article), context is needed.

You’ll see what I mean.
