The Catch-All: ICYMI June 8-14
The news I've been consuming this week
Once again, I apologize for not releasing an analysis piece this week. Unfortunately, it will have to happen again next week. I owe you an explanation. I was hired on in my new position on June 7 and have since been spending 8 hours a day training in the new job, alongside working on assignments for school. For the record, this new job is not journalism, but once I get settled in, I will still have time to do journalism. I'm not leaving yet.
This now means that next week, when exams happen, I'll be working mostly 8+ hour days, except for the days when I'll have exams, in which case they'll be half days and then I'll spend the rest of the time preparing for exams. This doesn't leave a lot of time for anything else. In fact, as you're reading this, I have a jam-packed weekend where I'll spend most of my time either driving or working on final assignments/studying.
I really appreciate the patience of you during this time. As a reminder, if you have any concerns, absolutely feel free to reach out to me on any social media or fill out the form at my website. After this week, I'll have more free time to continue the analysis of this industry that fascinates and entraps us all. As a result, news may be a bit light this week. I still read as much as I can but... aforementioned business.
Besides that, I was on Big Shiny Takes this week tearing apart a terrible column by Joe Warmington. Tap the link here or check out the AV Corner to listen!
